Robby John and The Seven-Teens - THE REVOLUTION- Del Fi

Here's a weird one. A screaming JD rocker about teenage emancipation from 1959. Totally stoopid. Apparently, in 1959 some DJ at a radio station in Portland Oregon played this song over 360 consecutive times in one day! Whatever you think of the record make sure you listen to the guitar break cuz its a motherfucker.

  2. Lou Whitney and Donnie Thompson do a great version of this with the Skeletons on their "Live at the Amador 1979" CD: http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=7146599

  3. The story about this record being played over and over for twenty for hours is true. It was 1958 or 1959 and Radio station KVAN was a Portland Oregon Rock station which was purchased by Star Broadcasting and became KISN the new Rock Station which ran until the 70's I believe that the disc jockey who did it was Bill Howlett who at the time had the PM shift hosting Uncle Bill's Bandstand. I was only about 10 years old but I remember it Evilroyslade
